421.1.

Hiding a card is the act of placing a card facedown at a Battlefield you control.

Hiding is a Discretionary Action.

The Hidden keyword allows a player to pay a cost to Hide a card any time they have a Hidden card in their hand or Champion Zone and meet the prerequisites. See rule 811. Hidden for more information.

421.3.

Cards that are facedown at Battlefields have their gameplay properties and permissions defined by the effect that put them there. Example: Cards that players Hide with the Hidden keyword can be Played for [0] on any subsequent turn as a property of the Hidden keyword.

421.4.

If a facedown card would change zones or if the game ends, its owner reveals it to all players. See rule 128. Privacy for more information.

How do I hide a card with Hidden?

You can hide a card with the Hidden keyword from your hand instead of paying its normal cost. To do this, you must already control a battlefield (have units there) to hide the card at. Hiding a card costs (A) (one power of any domain/color) and you place the card face down at that battlefield.

When I hide a card, does that count for Legion?

Hiding isn't playing, and doesn't count as playing a card for abilities like Legion.

If I hide a card, and then my opponent uses a spell to move a unit to that battlefield that same turn, can I play the card I hid?

No. You can't play cards the same turn you hide them.

Does Ava's ability let me hide cards?

No, it lets you play cards with Hidden from your hand.

How does the Hidden keyword work in Riftbound? When can you hide a card, and when can you play it?

Hidden (rule 811) lets you pay an Action cost to hide a card from your hand facedown at a battlefield you control, instead of paying that card's normal cost. A battlefield can only hold one of your facedown hidden cards at a time. Beginning on the next turn, the hidden card gains Reaction and you may play it ignoring its base cost. If a hidden spell or play effect chooses targets, those targets must be chosen from among options at the battlefield where you hid it (unless the ability explicitly restricts targeting otherwise).
